The City of Dallas and its Dallasites have been all over TV and movies lately. And in June, DVDs got into the game. Entourage: The Complete Eighth Season (out June 12) features no less than Mavericks owner Mark Cuban (last season featured Cowboys owner Jerry Jones). For no less than this – and no more than that it’s the final season of the HBO show – you should cop a copy.
If you’re looking for another (technically, anyway) Dallasite, check out Haywire. Mixed martial arts star Gina Carano stars as a kick-butt agent who’s left out in the cold by her agency. She was born here; her father is Cowboys backup quarterback Glenn Carano. There’s nothing finer than a marathon of Haywire, Salt and Hanna. Add some Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Cleopatra Jones (Tamara Dobson), and you might feel the urge to go all medieval on someone (read: empowered).
